“To make this Shabbat a delight” consider the ALFA wine from Jezreel Valley Winery. It is a rich red blend of the French grapes Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, with the bonus of the Israeli grape Argaman. All are grown in the area of the lower Galilee. The wine features a rich berry taste with a touch of spice.
Our friends at the Jezreel Valley Winery appreciate your support. Since Oct. 7th, they have lost two assistant winemakers and a financial manager called to the reserves. The doors to their visitor center were closed for three weeks and have only recently opened for reduced hours and small crowds. Some Israeli wine shops selling their wine remain open, but with thousands of people called to the reserves, fewer people are buying. Overall, they have lost 8 weeks of revenue, with no end in sight.
I purchased the Jezreel ALFA at Joe Canals on Rte. 1 South in Lawrenceville, NJ (Mercer Mall, near ShopRite) for $20.99. It’s also available at TOTAL WINES, BUY RITE, some BOTTLE KINGS, and many other smaller shops. Online, check out Jezreel Winery store . Use the code “DrinkIsrael” for home delivery and a 5% discount.
Jacob Ner-David, Jezreel’s founder, wants you to know about a special campaign they are running to provide soldiers with Shabbat wine. Please donate if you can.
Check out Kosher Wine Warehouse to purchase the wine online for 10% your order.
